Title: Recovery from Total Renal Failure -- Part 3 of Bonnie's Story
Questions from the Internet:
Since I didn’t receive any questions from listeners I selected two that I found recently on the Internet that I felt fit into this podcast episode.
Please remember to ask questions. I’d much rather answer questions from my listeners. There’s a page on our woebgonbassets.com website where you can either record a question or send one by email.

Her adventures outside on the front lawn of the hospital.
Back in the hemodialysis before we had to leave on Sunday afternoon.
Saying goodbye to the doctor and nurse who saved Bonnie's life.
Bonnie in her favorite chair before getting sick.
Bonnie back in her favorite chair after the whole ordeal was over and she was eating on her own.
Hemodialysis Unit Article
In this episode I continue Bonnie's story by sharing her complete recovery from total renal failure. This episode completes the story I started in Episode 14 of WOEBGON the Basset Hound Podcast.
Hopefully by watching this episode you can avoid renal (kidney) failure in your dog. In it I share the major toxins that can cause renal failure as well as the signs to look for. As I say in the episode, knowing what's normal for your dog is very important. It will help you to determine when your dog may be sick.
Included in this episode I've also presented a special memorial to Bonnie's granddaughter, Heidi, who we recently lost. She was the last basset that we had from Bonnie's line.
The next episode of WOEBGON the Basset Hound Podcast is one that all of you who love our breed don't want to miss. Our breed is under attack from governments around the world, especially in Europe but it's also started in the United States. Please subscribe so you don't miss that episode.
Special Tribute to Heidi
Heidi's collar with name tag. It has a butterfly on it.
Ruffy's choke chain with the name tags from all the dogs who have lived in our home.
The leash the shelter gave us to bring Ruffy home. Yes, it's made from twine.
Both the leash and Ruffy's choke chain hang on this hook in the entry to our home. Behind them is a sign given to us by a close friend. Next to them is a "Wag More Bark Less" sign with the crate tag from our girl, Star. She was out of our Sassy and became an AKC Champion. We lost Star to cancer at two. That was a very tragic day so we remember her with this placement of her name tag.
